Questions
Which files work on Android?
Both. Each chapter is an MP3 file. Pro also makes one M4B audiobook with chapters and a cover.
Do I need internet on my phone?
No. The audio files are on your phone, so you can listen anywhere.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Your file is opened in your browser, and the audio is made on your computer.
How long does a whole book take?
You can start listening within a minute or two, while the website makes the rest. You can download each chapter as soon as it is made. A typical novel is about 10 hours of audio. How long the whole book takes depends on your computer.
How to copy the files from a PC
Connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable, tap the USB notification on the phone, and select File Transfer. Drag the files into a folder on your phone.
How to copy the files from a Mac
Upload the files to Google Drive and download them on your phone.
Play the files in Voice
Add the folder once, and Voice shows your audiobooks. It remembers where you stopped, and it has a sleep timer and speed control. It also works with Android Auto.
MP3 or M4B on Android
MP3 gives you one file for each chapter. File names have the book title, the chapter number and the chapter title, so they stay in order on your phone. An M4B is one file with the chapters inside it. See What is an M4B file?
