Yes. Two voices are free, and Pro adds 11 more. Each voice has a sample you can play first.
Can I come back later?
Yes. Open the page again and click Continue; it goes on from where it stopped.
Does it read the chapter titles?

Can I skip the contents and copyright pages?
Yes. Pick the chapter where the book starts and press Start from here.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. Your PDF is opened and read in your browser, and the audio is made on your computer.

Open the PDF, pick a chapter to start from, choose a voice, and press Convert book. Listening starts within a minute or two, while the rest of the book is made in order. The player has play, pause, back to the start, and a position bar: you can jump to any part that is ready. Each chapter shows its length before you start.
Have a PDF read aloud without the clutter
A PDF reader that reads the page as it is also reads page headers, page numbers and the lines that break in the middle of a word. Here, two free settings are on from the start: "Remove headers and footers" and "Fix broken lines and page numbers". Two-column pages are read left column first. The text preview shows what will be read.
Read PDF aloud with natural voices
Free has 2 natural voices: Heart (warm, US female) and Fenrir (strong, US male). Pro adds 11 more, for 13 in US and UK English: Aoede, Bella, Nicole, Kore, Sarah, Michael and Puck from the US, and Emma, Isabella, George and Fable from the UK. Play any voice's sample in the voice menu before you choose.
Read PDF aloud on PC or Mac
The page runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. The natural voices are prepared once, then they stay in the browser. With Pro, conversion works without internet after that preparation.
Listen later, or keep the audio
Close the tab at any time. Finished chapters stay in your browser; open the page again and click Continue to go on from where it stopped. Download any finished chapter as an MP3 to listen on your phone. With Pro, download the whole book as one M4B audiobook with chapters and a cover.
